OSCAR & MA'S HISTORY
Oscar & Ma was founded by Scott Green, an Orange County entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and philanthropist who was inspired to create employment opportunities for people who need a second chance.
Scott developed the knowledge required to build an event coordination company while working in the for-profit event business. He has translated that experience to Oscar & Ma with the plan of bringing his know-how to the non-profit world.

My vision for Oscar & Ma is to help the community in two distinct ways:

First and most importantly, help educate people who need a chance to enter the workforce, provide them opportunities to learn new business skills, and train them for successful careers in well-paying jobs.

Second, to work with non-profits to effectively reach their audiences through our great events and creative services.
WORKFORCE TRAINING
Oscar & Ma provides a one year life-skills & job-skills training program that may includes on-the-job training and job placement.
Life Skills Training
Equips individuals with essential tools and knowledge to navigate daily challenges and increase personal independence.
Job Skills Training
Designed to equip individuals with the specific skills and knowledge needed to excel in the workplace.
On-The-Job Training
Provides the opportunity to learn skills on-the-job through Oscar & Ma's event planning social enterprise.
Job Placement Aid
Working with local companies and non-profits, Oscar & Ma assists with job placement for job-training graduates.
Career Independence
The ultimate goal of the program is to support professional and financial independence for graduates.
OUR MISSION
Oscar & Ma’s mission is to create a place where people who need job opportunities can receive training and experience in a professional field. Working with other non-profit partners, Oscar & Ma generates opportunities for people with barriers to employment, including opportunity youth, the unhoused, the formerly incarcerated, and survivors of domestic abuse—teaching skills and providing a pathway to future employment.
