We are now a Fully Independent nonprofit with a new board member
Oscar & Ma is pleased to announce that we are now a 503(c)3 nonprofit. After two years as a fiscally sponsored project of OneOC, Oscar & Ma has applied for and received its own 501(c)3 nonprofit tax-exempt status.
In addition, we have expanded our board. Current Board members are Scott Green, Todd Hanson, and Bill Sanderson,
Scott Green is the founder of Oscar & Ma. Scott has an extensive background in philanthropy, through the Orange County Community Foundation and other nonprofits. Scott's goal with Oscar & Ma is to bring living-wage jobs to Orange County.
Todd Hanson has been an active advisor to OScar & Ma since its inception in 2020. He has a background in advocacy at nonprofits and 20 years at the Orange County Foundation. Todd is currently the COO at the Council on Aging in Orange County.
Our newest board member, Bill Sanderson was a member of senior leadership at Golden State Foods for many years. He is a board member at West Coast University, System Pavers, as well as at Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Oscar & Ma is excited about our recent acheivements and looks forward to continued growth in 2023.
